Cahill Light

The "Cahill Light" is a classic dry fly named after its creator, Dan Cahill. It's designed to imitate the lighter-colored mayflies commonly found on many rivers and streams, making it a favorite among fly fishers. The fly features a creamy or light tan body, light dun-colored hackles, and wings that stand upright, closely resembling the natural form and color of emerging mayflies. The Cahill Light is particularly effective during mayfly hatches, usually in late spring to early summer. It works best in clear, slow to moderate flowing waters where trout are feeding on the surface. The realistic silhouette and buoyant design make it an excellent choice for targeting selective trout that are keyed in on specific types of mayflies.
